How do I start bidding?
Create an account, verify your email and save a card through Nomupay. Open an auction, enter your bid and review the full total before confirming.
What happens in the final seconds?
Every accepted bid in the final two minutes adds a full two minutes to the existing closing time. This gives collectors time to respond. Rejected or duplicate bids never extend the deadline.
What are the bidding limits?
The total bid cannot exceed AED 5,000,000. One bid can increase the current amount by at most AED 100,000. Minimum increments depend on the current price.
What does the buyer pay?
The winning bid plus a 7.50% buyer’s fee, VAT included. The fee is held on your card when your bid is accepted and charged if you win. The winning bid amount is payable at the Luxhaven office. The full total is shown before you bid.
What happens to my fee hold if I do not win?
Each bidder keeps a hold based on their highest accepted bid. Losing bidders’ holds are released after the auction closes. A higher accepted bid replaces your previous hold, and your bank may briefly show both while processing the release. Rejected bids have their new hold released.
What does it cost to sell?
Sellers pay zero commission and no listing fees. You receive the full hammer price after the buyer accepts the piece. Submit your details on the selling page to arrange an evaluation.
Does saving my card charge me?
Card setup uses a temporary AED 10 authorization. We request release of the hold after verification and save the verified payment token once the release is confirmed. Your bank controls when the pending amount disappears. Settlement for a piece is arranged by the house after an auction.
What if my connection drops?
The auction continues on the server. Bidding is disabled while your connection is offline. When you reconnect, you receive the latest state. An unconfirmed request is checked with its original ID so it cannot become a duplicate bid.
Can I inspect a piece?
Contact us to arrange a viewing at the Luxhaven office, Gold & Diamond Park, Building 2, Unit 2219, 1st Floor, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. You can also ask questions on the piece’s page before bidding.
Can I remove my card?
A saved card can be removed once outstanding fee holds are resolved and you have no leading bids or unsettled winning bids. This keeps a valid payment method linked to active commitments.
